Hall Effect sensor being used in brushless dc motors for various applications. 

This is used for position sensing and giving feedback to the motor controller. 

Basically it senses the magnet polarity if north or south pole and gives the 

digital information to the controller.The applications include BLDC Motors for

domestic, industrial and electric vehicle applications. Specially it suits well 

for brushless dc hub motors.
